kg; or
4) 29cm at a mass of 300 - 349
kg; or
5) 30cm at a mass of 350 - 399
kg; or
6) 31cm at a mass of 400 - 449
kg; or
7) 32cm at a mass of 450 - 499
kg; or
8) 33cm at a mass of 500 or
more kg.
2. Visual Appraisal
Description of Nguni Cattle (C.W.B.
Armstrong and E.H.H. Meyer) adapted
and adopted by the Liaison Committee
for Indigenous Livestock shall be
used as a guideline by the Society’s
Inspectors.
The accent is on functional
efficiency. Animals with hereditary
defects or with deviations, which
will impede the functional
efficiency according to the
appraisal of the Inspector, will be
rejected.

3. Semen
and Embryo Donors
The Society must control the
practice of AI and ET in Nguni herds
in accordance with the Act.
3.1
Procedure for application
3.1.1 Apply in writing to the
Society;
3.1.2 Apply for co-ownership
if applicable;
3.1.3 Donor bulls and cows
will be inspected and recommended by
two Inspectors and approved by a
Committee appointed by the
Council. The inspectors
will be appointed by the Society and
at least one of the inspectors must
be a Senior inspector.
