Council held an informal
meeting early this month to review our strategy and to plan
for the formal council proceedings of mid September. What is
apparent to us unanimously is that the pressure on our
office has now reached unacceptable levels and that our
staff is increasingly expected to deliver beyond their
reasonable capacity.
At the same time, council members are burdened with
day-to-day management responsibilities which are beyond
their expected roles in directing the business of the
society.
Accordingly, we have decided to appoint a business manager
to manage the office and all aspects of the operational
business of the society under the general direction of the
council. |
